The Power of the Drum
Cuban Movements Dance Academy
On-Demand on FringeTV March 25 – April 4
The seed of inspiration is found in the African roots of Cuban dance, particularly afrocuban dance celebrating the African deities that are grounded on powerful drumming and resonate in our hearts! Even with all the struggles faced by the African slaves in Cuban, their music, drumming and dance has remained a vibrant component of today’s Cuban arts and culture, and a symbol of the resilience of the human spirit that is so needed today!
