The hidden identity of the self that lays within the body. Featuring:

Direction: Luca Quaia
Masks: Stefano Perocco di Meduna
Lighting design: Raffaele Cavarra
Costumes: Silva Gregorčič
Coproduction: Slovene Permanent Theatre in Triest
BodyunTitled is a very personal experiment into the question of identity. Clad in a reimagined suit, dress, jacket and hat, Daša Grgič invents a creature in movement whose charisma hinges on the “attraction-repulsion” equation. With the body of a headless pin-up, she explores the whole range of physical possibilities: with smooth or jerky movements and inverted positions, she introduces us to a world of unsettling fantasies. The piece wasn’t conceived of as a provocation but rather as an invitation to observe the dual nature of what we think of as familiar.
Choreographer & Performer: Emily Gualtieri
Performer & Collaborator: Linnea Swan
Rehearsal Director: David Albert-Toth
Lighting Designer: Timothy Rodriques
Audio arranged by: David Albert-Toth
Stage manager: Maria Simone
Re:Pairing plays with an interest in our stories, specifically in those that are often unheard or forgotten. Voice, text, and movement act as motors for discovering these hidden avenues, revealing a surreal and dreamlike world – entrances and exits that are at once theatrical and entertaining, as they are intimate and vulnerable, shape the work. When do we choose to enter and why do we leave? How do we allow ourselves to be visible in front of others, and when and why do we choose to be invisible?
